About QueerID
QueerID is a friendly & relaxed discussion forum and social networking site for gay men and women in Ireland. Our aim is to provide a place where members can meet like-minded folk, relax and chat about anything from current affairs and advice to gossip and funny stories - and keep up to date with the latest social happenings!
Initially conceived as a forums based site for Dublin, QueerID made the leap into social networking in mid 2007 allowing all members to create their own profile, upload galleries, write blogs
and have individual guestbooks. This has caused what can only be described as an explosion in numbers on the site with over 17,500 unique visitors using the site each month (Source: Google Analytics).
Along with the forums and social networking elements the site is always a fountain of information for social events and support organisations...
...and with the scene changing so rapidly and new social groups, clubs and pubs appearing its good to know that the listings are regularly kept up to date. We are the definitive online guide to what’s going on.
As well as being a great resource for gay people, the site is also being recognised more and more as a resource for business’ and promoters. In the last few years, QueerID has worked with many organisations to promote their events, run
competitions and put them in touch with their customers and readers. We’ve been very lucky over the past five
years, that many groups and business’ have approached us and become involved.
We're proud to have helped promote and supported the various annual charity events that take place including Alternative Miss Ireland and Mr Gay Ireland and will continue to do so.
