I just don't understand why there has been no response from capital bars. I have always loved the g but no one wants to go there now. When we have options like panti bar and other places which play to the pink pound like spy it just seems like they don't really care if they lose custom.

I know I've spent a huge portion of my earnings in capital bars over the years and whether or not I've noticed a new attitude I'd still like them to take responsibility for all the people who have had negative experience in the last while. If they are aware of this thread why is it being overlooked?

I've never had a problem with straights in a gay club, in fact I don't think there should be any discrimination as I wouldnt like to be shot down on the basis of my sexuality or gender (so let some in as long as not skangers and are preferably hot and can be converted ;)) But......HEN PARTYS!!?!? Thats ridiculous the place will be full of English stag parties next...

I was willing to give the new guys a chance because it was obvious that they had after getting a talking to about "saying hello". but that thing with the old guy was ridiculous and uncalled for. And the fact that they are turning the place into a straight bar is head melting! Bring back the old security and the old barstaff!!!!!!

I just found out that the manager Barry resigned too!!!!!!! He was lovely! What are you doing capital bars!

Is glitz part of the same crowd?

Glitz is brought to you by an independent club promoter (my good self). The club is a Baby Productions' event and the night has been run in association with our host venue Break For The Border which is part of the Capital Bars group for over five years now.

Throughout that time, Break For The Border bar prices have remained at the daytime (cheaper) rates for Glitz i.e. On Tuesdays they do not increase during or for the club as is standard other nights/elsewhere. Specials such as our E5 cocktail and vodka+shark mix and occasional drinks promotions have also always been on offer. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE CASE.

Also, we've just introduced E3 off admission concessions - available each Tuesday beforehand at April's show in The Front Lounge or from The Dragon - so now offer a REDUCED ENTRY CHARGE.

Fair play for posting here declan,it would be nice to have someone from capital bars posting here but prob not gonna happen. But at least we know there are a few promoters like yourself and panti listening and taking time to address some of the issues that are raised on the site.

Hopeful whispers that the "message" has been heard. Walking past the George several evenings ago. Two of the Door-staff talking to customers, checking them out, and saying "thank you" to the customers as they allowed them enter.

bein a regular at the george now for a long time it is easy to notice change.
Many of my friends have been refused on a regular basis these of whome have been regulars to the venue a long time. But yet I notice apon arrival inside the venue last week that many straights seem to be the "new". Not to mention the fun some were making of a few customers observed by myself and friends.

Is this going to be the norm from now on. I am in question now as has this been a desision taken by powers that be or inexperience by new security?????
I am sickened by the treatment of an elderly gentlman bein heavily handed moved down a stairs. Is this the treatment customers are to recieve now?

My friends have written numerous letters of complaint to the george and capital bars in light of so many diturbing and drastic changes but to avail no reply??
Has anyone recieved replies to complaints and if so from whom as we would like to make our complaints heard.

I haven't been to the George in so long, how can it have gotten this bad? It makes no sense. I'll think twice before I go again.

Back to this "hackneyed" thread again. I'm thankful that capital bars have'nt pulled the plug on their GCN Ads. Their Ad in the latest GCN had OutHouse minds going for some time yesterday, trying to see where the "GAY" was in the Ad. Nice one to the mind/s behind it.
