So I was in the G o Friday and yes it was quiet. But that was a given due to KISS and ALMIGHTY on. I had a great night, had no problems whatsoever with they bouncers.....maybe there is a fuss being made over nothing??

I'm sure some people have had a bit of a run in with the new bouncers, but often transition is never as smooth as we would like. I'm sure once the new guys find their feet, it will be grand.

Nah there is something in serious need of change there - I have always had a mighty time in the G no matter what was on or who I was with. Az was right the bouncers seemed to be pretty cool, were chatting to a few lads out the front and we just strolled on in! Inside though it was dead (yeah kiss n almighty were on) but the atmosphere...was just so different - danced a few times and even closer to midnight there was plenty of room to dance on the stage - The people in there were all very different as well like majority were nearly all under 24 or 25 and if ya didnt dress or act like them the looks that were been giving!

Bring back the old George!!! {#Insert smilie} and no I dont mean J Park! {#Insert smilie}

Was here last night and I didn't think it was atmosphereless. I thought the atmosphere was just weird. Never felt that outta sorts in the place before. Mad busy with a strange crowd.

just  back and other than feeling like a child because I have been told to go to bed I had a great night. The bingo was great. We were with a bingo virgin and he just had a brilliant time. Karen was great as usual. Though I still wanted more camp. lol. That's just me though. Bouncers were uber friendly going in and leaving said have a safe night home lads lads and goodbye see you again. Bar man on second trip remembered my pint. So I actually can't complain.

So twice in two days all has been good. yes its quieter but that's inevitable with shitty closing hours and a recession.

Ya, have to say i was there last nyt and the bouncers were bein uber uber friendly, sayin "hi, how r ye?" when we walked in etc and everyone was bein very polite, I didn't get a bad vibe at all. Heard they were bein uber friendly in the dragon also so maybe something has been said to them by the management...& the complaints weren't in vain...

hope they keep this up bcos it really adds to the place having polite bouncers...do feel sorry for the old ones tho as its an awful time to be losin ur job...
